Byography

Composer, pianist and conductor,Lodi Luka was  born in Shkoder (Albania) in 1980 in a musicians family. He performed for various institutions, associations and concert seasons (Opera House of Tirana, Shkoder's Migjeni Theatre, House of Music and Theatre Rendano of Cosenza, Theatre of the University of Calabria, University of Fine Arts in Graz (Austria), Municipal Theatre "Luigi Russolo" of Portogruaro, Puccini Hall of the Conservatory of Milan, Week of Albanian Culture at Villa Litta Lainate, Sebino Summer Festival, Festival of Montalto Uffugo Leoncavallo, Rendese Festival September, the Italian Embassy in Albania etc.).

He began his career as a piano soloist and he  performing with The Youth Orchestra of Shkoder in 1998 the concerto in D major of F.J.Haydn.  He has performed also with the National Orchestra of Moldova and with the Bulgarian orchestras of Vidin and Pazardjik under the direction of Ovidiu Balan, Giuseppe Mallozzi and Valentin Doni.

He collaborates as conductor with the chamber orchestra "I musici di Parma", with Milano Music Simphony Orchestra, with the Italian Harps Orchestra and the contemporary music ensemble "L' Altro Ensemble" founded by himself. 

In 2014 he conducted the opera "Elisir d'amore" by Gaetano Donizzetti in the splendid eighteenth-century "Villa Clerici" in Milan.
He started studying  piano at the music school in his hometown  when he was six,  and he received his Diploma in 1998 from the College of Music “Prenke Jakove” in Shkoder. Since then he has been living in Italy, where he  received  a Piano Diploma from the Milan Conservatory, a Diploma in Composition from the Conservatory in Cosenza studying with Vincenzo Palermo and Elisabetta Brusa, a master degree in Music Education and a master degree in Piano Teaching from the Conservatory in Cosenza. 
The meeting with the great French-Italian pianist Aldo Ciccolini with who he studied in Paris and Naples was very important for his musical training.
Winner of a scholarship Erasmus Placement, in 2009 he did an internship as a maestro suggeritore at the prestigious Vienna State Opera, collaborating with famous singers and conductors.
He studied Orchestra conducting with Ovidiu Balan at the "European Arts Academy" Trani and with Pietro Mianiti at the International Academy "I Musici di Parma" in Salsomaggiore. Currently he attends a master in orchestral conducting for opera at the Academy "Milano Opera Music Master" in Milan.
He attended the course of film music composition at the Accademia Musicale Chigiana with the Oscar winner Luis Bakalov obtaining the Diploma of Merit.
He has worked as piano accompanist for the Rendano Theatre of Cosenza and the Association R.Leoncavallo of Montalto Uffugo for the Puccini's opera Suor Angelica and Leoncavallo's operas Pagliacci and Mameli.
He has recorded an album with extracts from the operas Chatterton and Mameli of Ruggiero Leoncavallo with the soprano Teresa Musacchio and the tenor Franco Pino for the "Nuova Santelli Editions" of Cosenza.

His compositions are published by Forton Music, Preludio Music and Accademia 2008.

He has taught piano at the Superior Institute of musical Studies " P.I.Tchaikovsky " of Nocera Terinese and currently teaches piano at the secondary schools in the province of Crotone.

In 2012 he was a guest of a program dedicated to him self on Radio Classica Italy.

He was one of the founders of the Concert Season Incontri Musicali Mediterranei that takes place around the Calabrian Region.
